And so it begins: parenthood. There isn't a break in between giving birth and parenting - it all just happens in a flash. You're not expected to know how to do everything all the time! She‘s also extremely hands on and intuitive. She’ll talk to you just the right amount, reminding you of the words that give you strength. My husband is wonderful and supportive, but you really need a professional and not a loving amateur. If you’re on the fence about a doula in general, as I was, I’m now very grateful I had Phylicia.
