My Inspiration
I can definitely say my own journey into motherhood was the spark that ignited the flame in becoming a doula. My passion has engulfed me; morphed me into who I am and where I am now. I felt so empowered by my choices that I used my platform to share them.
I began sharing my story with others and before long I found that I became the “go-to” for many.
I connect with those who are trying to conceive, are currently pregnant + want to give birth on their own terms, or have newly entered the postpartum period + are trying to find their footing through parenthood.
They want to conceive and are ready to expand their families.
They want to know their birthing rights.
They want to successfully breastfeed/chestfeed/body feed.
Many seek me for encouragement, evidence-based information, and overall support.
I am a certified birth doula, specializing in the support of first-time and VBAC birthing persons.
All birthing persons are welcomed, especially pregnant people of color who, statistically, are dying during pregnancy + childbirth at two to six times the rate of white women due to systemic racism.
Here, you will be seen and you will be heard. Here, your voice matters.
My Goal
My goal in life is to teach as many people as I can that all we need in life lives within us. Though life may not always go as planned, we can better prepare for the shifts and stand confidently in our decisions through preparation, education, and having an open mind.
